DESCRIPTION:Cincinnati Chamber Opera will close its 2016-2017 season with a new production of Il Matrimonio Segreto by Domenico Cimarosa. The production will feature six talented principal artists\, as well as a chamber orchestra of twenty instrumentalists. We are pleased to announce that Il Matrimonio Segreto is sponsored by both The Patricia Kisker Foundation and The Louise Nippert Musical Arts Fund at the Greenacres Foundation. Il Matrimonio Segreto is a hilarious story of love\, marriage\, mistaken identities\, and misunderstandings. In a similar style to A Comedy of Errors\, one thing after another goes wrong for our happily\, yet secretly\, married young couple as they attempt to announce their union. We will be presenting not only a creative and innovative staging of the work\, but also new English supertitles for the show\, which will be presented in Italian.
