HipArt: Rites of Passage

“Our team at Elementz desires to see conscious local hip hop artists thriving in their artistry while uplifting our community. THRIVE is our effort to support this vision,” Abdullah Powell, Elementz Creative Director Abdullah Powell.

Elementz presents its first concert in the “Thrive” hip hop concert series entitled HipART: Rites of Passage. This concert is about the generations of youth who have passed through Elementz over our seventeen years, and includes a new generation of street dancers, our emerging emcees, OG “Nitty” Morris, and our Creative Director Abdullah Powell, whose music is a commentary on his own generational journey. Experience uplifting performances of conscious hip hop music, poetry, and street dance featuring different generations of Elementz artists whose art can make you think and groove. HipART performances will explore themes of personal growth, adulting and continuing to pursue dreams at every stage of life.

Performing artists include Noah Hawes, Spirit, DJ Apryl Reign, Stallitix, Jamie-Lee Morris, Image of Dance, (CA)^2, Nitty Morris, Heroes Rise Street Dance Experience and Elementz Creative Director Abdullah Powell.

HipART is scheduled for Thursday September 19^th, 2019 8PM-10PM.
