Understanding how to hire the 'hard to hire' is essential to the success of the local business community and of individuals in need of a second chance. The Beacon of Hope Business Alliance recognizes this need and is launching a community-wide effort to pave the way to successful Second Chance hiring with a free CEO/business owner breakfast event called ?Employing Mercy.? The? Employing Mercy? event takes place on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 7:30 ? 9:00am at the Cincinnati Museum Center. It?s sponsored by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, Xavier University, and Lawn Life featuring free breakfast and free parking. Online registration for CEOs and business owners is available through the Beacon of Hope website or at http://employingmercy.eventbrite.com. Goals of Employing Mercy: ? Reach local CEOs and business owners ? Connect companies with social service agencies ? Obtain pledges of 500 new second chance jobs ? Inspire more participation in the Beacon of Hope Business Alliance ?Every year, nearly 2,000 Second Chance Citizens are released from prison into Hamilton County,? said Dan Meyer with Beacon of Hope. ?Providing access to Second Chance jobs is key to the success of these citizens and our whole community.? Employing Mercy is a chance for local business owners and CEOs to make a positive impact on a pressing social issue while being connected to valuable resources to support their businesses.
